Outremont (Québec) – On Tuesday, January 22, the Hon. Catherine McKenna, Member of Parliament for Ottawa Centre, joined Rachel Bendayan, Liberal Party of Canada candidate in Outremont, to speak to Liberal supporters and engage with constituents in the riding.
Liberal supporters gathered for the occasion, offering the visiting MP a warm welcome. Following a speech by the two politicians, volunteers went to meet their neighbours to discuss the main issues in the riding.
“It is great to see a community – and a candidate – so passionate about protecting the environment for future generations. With support from engaged residents like the ones in Outremont, and with Rachel on team Trudeau, I know we can continue to take meaningful action to leave our kids and grandkids with a cleaner environment and a healthier economy,” said Catherine McKenna, Member of Parliament for Ottawa-Centre.
“It is a pleasure to be able to share the riding in which I was born, in which I live, with the Hon. Catherine McKenna,” said the aspiring MP. “I think we showed her how passionate the people of Outremont, Mile-End and Côte-des-Neiges are about their community. They are entrepreneurs and parents, people who build a welcoming and diverse Canada every day. I look forward to working with Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team to grow our economy, protect a healthy environment for our children and grandchildren, and provide real support for Outremont families.”
With a growing team of volunteers and supporters, Ms. Bendayan encourages all Outremont voters to participate in this important by-election to make their voices heard in Ottawa.
